Up

I have given talks and run workshops on Food and Mood with various groups across Devon and Cornwall over several years. Now I incorporate advice on Food and Mood into an individual's Healing or Reflexology session if it is indicated.

 How does Food affect Mood?

  • Eating the right foods for you can help you to support your body and your brain rather than stress it.
  • Research has shown that certain foods can help you to think more clearly and to keep on an emotional even keel. These are not necessarily the same for everyone.
  • Other foods can add to the already tremendous stress our brains and bodies are under in the 21st century. There are some which we should all limit such as alcohol, sugar, caffeine, salt and so on, but individually we may be more sensitive to some foods than others. Allergies and intolerances can trigger mood swings, depression, anxiety and a whole host of other mental and emotional problems.

How Can I Find Out More?

I offer advice on Food and Mood and other general nutritional advice alongside a Reflexology or Healing session at my therapy room at Mirasol in Exmouth, East Devon.
